Robertson-Wesley United Church

Inclusive, progressive, affirming—Spirited!

Open Hearts—Open Community

In response to God's call, we, the congregation of Robertson-Wesley United Church, declare our commitment to opening our hearts and our church family to all people in our community, regardless of sexual orientation, age, gender, differing abilities, ethnicity, or economic circumstance. We recognize that many people's lives continue to be devastated by hatred, prejudice, and inequality, therefore, as a compassionate and caring spiritual community we will stand with those who are adversely affected by injustice, alienation and oppression.

Save the Date!
On Sunday September 23, 2018 the worship service at Robertson-Wesley United Church will be filmed for the third season of a faith based documentary series called House of God.

Igal Hecht a producer based in Toronto has invited us to be part of a new television series called House of God, which explores the unbreakable bond between people of faith and God in Alberta, and we said YES! This first of its kind program explores the lives of Priests, Rabbis, Imam’s, Pastors and worshipers as it highlights the love and passion they have for their place of worship and God. Each episode will explore two places of worship in the province of Alberta. It will explore the history of each location of worship and take a look at the contemporary life of various communities that make up the tapestry of multiculturalism in Alberta. The viewer explores and learns about the significance of these Houses of God for its followers.

The series now enters its third season on YES-TV. Last year was filmed in Toronto and explored various faiths and house of worships. Check out these links to the trailer and the demo from season 1 which was filmed in Latin America:
