Today is a day to give thanks, but not simply for all that we have. The scriptures today remind us that our actions have consequences, like the Israelites there are times when we become restless and begin to doubt that God is truly with us. At times we fall victim to the allure of success and possessions, but Moses and Paul remind us that if we repent, if we turn around and walk in a different direction, if we turn back to God, our hearts and our lives will be transformed – we will experience peace. What new direction awaits you – awaits this congregation?
