As we hear the story of Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist, we pause to reflect on our own understanding of baptism, and what it means. When entering a faith community we contemplate what it will mean to belong, what will be required of us, will we be welcomed and accepted? The good news is that God who has created us and formed us, believes that we are all precious in God’s sight, and God has called us each by name. What do you hear when God calls you by name?
