The assurance that we hold onto today is that nothing separates us from the love of God. This oracle from Isaiah is one that stirs us, that causes us to question and explore what it is that God expects us to do and be about in this world. These scriptures can’t help but fire us up for Jesus says “I came to bring fire to the earth and how I wish it were already kindled!” The summer has been a bit on the cooler side, but this Sunday will warm your soul from top to bottom and get you fired up for the fall.
