Did you know that the English word miracle comes from the Latin words miro (“to Wonder”) and Mirus (“wonderful”). It’s the same root from which we get the word mirror. Towards the end of the Corinthians reading it says, “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then we will see face to face.” When we, Robertson-Wesley look into the mirror, what do we see? What makes us real? What makes us authentic? How do we become visible in a time when people never look up or around? Do we need a facelift or do we need to let our light shine out? What miracle are we preparing for?
