Luke 2:41-52 Jesus in the Temple
Things have quieted down, the festivities have ended, visitors are heading home, and Jesus cannot be found. Mary and Joseph become frantic when they realize that Jesus is missing. When they finally find Jesus in the temple, Mary reprimands Jesus for making them worry and his response is less then charitable. He asks his parents, “Why were you searching for me? Did you know know that I must be in my Father’s house?” clearly implying that this Mary’s issue not his. For Jesus the temple was his home. Do we see the temple as our home too?
