Jeremiah pronounces a curse on those who focus on the human, who trust in what we are able to do, who take their cues from personal desire. We are being called to re-evaluate how we are living our lives, to re-evaluate what we value, and discern the difference between what we need and what we desire; what we are called to do and what do we desire to do?
