This one who speaks with authority to the authorities: he is either a fool or just what we have been waiting for. The rejected stone becomes the cornerstone. It remains a mystery, how the world can reject the Christ. But not the whole world: even more wondrously, there are those who embrace the Christ, who become the Church, who live Divine wisdom and power—who marvel in the Lord’s doing!
