Acts 3:1–10 • Lame beggar healed
In the healing of one lame beggar, the people recognized the presence and power of God, working through these Apostles of the One who had been crucified. Some responded with amazement and rejoicing; others with fear and derision, struggling to find a way to stop the movement without pitting themselves against God. But as long as the Apostles continued to trust that it was God who was working through them, they were unstoppable. The true basis for the church’s confidence today is nothing different.
