1 Corinthians 1:10-18 Appeal to unite

Paul’s message to the people of Corinth is that we cannot let our diversity stop us from uniting in Christ. Paul believes that he was sent to proclaim the gospel and unite people in a common mission. He went out and created home churches across the lands. The word church comes from the Greek word ecclesia, which was the word used for a gathering of people at the call of a herald. To put it another way, churches are groups of people coming together in answer to the call of Christ. We too are a church, a gathering of diverse people called by Christ, how will we rebuild?
