John 4:1-15 • Samaritan woman at the well

Jesus met a woman at Jacob’s well in Samaria. The well was so important to the people of that country; and everyone knows what it like to be really thirsty. That well was deep, so it was a lot of work to draw water. Then Jesus talks about “living water,” a source of vitality that he offers, that wells up from the heart of life, everlasting and mysterious.
