In the month of February we will be using best picture Oscar Nominees to explore theology and scripture. Manchester by the Sea, is a film that leads an uncle to choose an alternate world, and to extend hospitality without expectation or reward. Like the people who followed Jesus to a deserted place seeking healing and wholeness and nourishment for their bodies, minds and spirits, the main characters of this film finds reconciliation and wholeness through the act of compassion. How will we be inspired to extend hospitality and compassion to others?
