The prophet Amos is not one to mince words. His message is clear – justice and righteousness are essential elements of a faithful life. Have we been too focused on our rituals and worship, that we have forgotten that God’s love is expressed and experienced through love and concern for those who are oppressed, lost and alone? We need to remember whom we belong and who we are called to serve. We are called to seek justice and resist evil. How will we live this out?
