Be an advocate, not an oppressor

Esther 7: 1-10, 9:20-22 and Mark 9:42-50

It is all too easy to follow the advice of the wicked, which can land you in the seat of scoffers. How will we hold each other accountable to the covenant of loving one another as Jesus has loved us? Will we remember our Holy Manners, and continue to change our habits so that we are living out the call of Welcome and Inclusion to the best of our ability? Like any new regiment we need our friends to encourage us, challenge us, and remind us of our call. May Esther be an example of a woman who stood up for her people in the face of a bully, with God’s love and the hope of her people.
