How do we find a way to let go, to surrender when we are so invested? The struggle of the Israelites is real and one that we can identify with. When our world is turned upside down, we can’t help but be upset, grumble, complain and strive to return to what we once had and who we once were. Paul invites the Philippians to imitate Christ, to let go of selfish ambition and move to a state of humility, or in other words, to surrender to God’s love and God’s ways. Only when we find a way to do this, does something
new begin.
