Transformation is not an easy, nor a quick process. Discovering a new normal, a new way of life in the wake of a death or a major loss leaves us with an unsettling feeling. What are the gospel writers revealing to us in the stories of Jesus appearing to the disciples in this season of Easter? We remember that Jesus taught us to pray. Jesus mentored us to engage in spiritual practices. Jesus provided us with the ritual of communion, all in order to fill our souls. Do we need to see to believe and for things to be well with our soul?
