Nicodemus is told to witness, to testify, to share with others what he has seen. Evangelism is a word in the United Church that makes many of us uncomfortable. The idea of telling someone what they are to believe goes against the very fabric of our being. And yet, before COVID, many people took the risk and shared how God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit were at work in their lives. They shared their faith journey with others. Hearing how God is at work in the world is inspiring. Hearing our own experiences echoed in another person’s story shows us how God “works in us and others by the Spirit.” What have you seen?
