Isaiah 2:1-5 • The future house of God.
Matthew 24:36-44 • The necessity of watchfulness.
The season of Advent marks the end of one era and the beginning of a new one. The challenge we face is how we prepare ourselves for the coming of Jesus. Isaiah proclaims that God’s word, the word made flesh, will begin a new era. Jesus will come to earth and transform the world bringing hope, peace, joy and love. All that God asks of us is to be ready. We must be watchful for what is to come. We must look beyond what is on the surface and really see the love of God in all living beings. May this Advent season focus our attention on God, and our call in the world.
