God’s unending compassion.

We often associate prophets with people who are enraged and who call out the people on what they are doing wrong. In the passage from the prophet Hosea we do not hear anger. Instead we hear compassion and the unending love of God. In this passage God is portrayed as a loving parent, one that would do anything for the children, and yet they turn away. How will this prophetic passage encourage us to return to our spiritual home in God? How will we share the love of God with others so that they too will return to God?
