The relinquishment of privilege brings blessings.

Mark 10:17-31 • Rich man is called to sell all he has to follow Jesus
As we enter the season of Lent what are we being called to relinquish in order to return to God? The secular world invites us to live in the spirituality of scarcity, where we allow money to take control. It fosters fear, causing us to hold on tight to what little resources we have, or think we have. As followers of Jesus we are invited into a different spiritual reality, the spirituality of abundance where we act with trust that we can do more with less. It is world where we are called to risk what we have been entrusted with in order to do more. How will the spirit of abundance fuel the cycles of blessings? How will the relinquishing of one’s privilege enhance and enliven our lives and sense of purpose and meaning?
