Vessels

Paul the Apostle is writing to a community of Jesus believers in Corinth. In this portion of the letter, Paul is writing about what he and his colleagues in ministry are about. He uses the image of jars of clay, common, fragile vessels used to hold something important. In this case, the precious item is no less than the message that the very light of God was seen in Jesus and that living accordingly saves and transforms lives. They themselves are not the light, but are privileged to together carry the light and share this light with others. How have ministers and other faith leaders been vessels of light in your life and in the life of churches you have been part of? How is Robertson-Wesley itself a vessel of light?
