The passage from Isaiah speaks to the people who have been exiled. In this passage the prophet Isaiah declares that the exiled people are a people valued and honoured by God. In A New Creed, we as a community of faith in The United Church of Canada proclaim that we believe that God has come in Jesus, the word made flesh to reconcile and make new. On Indigenous Sunday we take time to honour and intentionally act on reconciliation. The path of respect means that we walk with each other, that we silently listen, that we ask for forgiveness, and that we seek justice for all people. How is God calling us to act in justice this day?
