There are many times on the faith journey when we are faced with adversity, and rejection. Following the gospel is not simply about what we say but the integrity that comes with acting on what we say. Within Christianity there is a faction of people who feel entitled, and who wield their power to fulfill their own personal agenda, putting aside the call of Jesus to care for the marginalized and powerless, to serve with compassion, and to speak the truth in love while standing up against injustice. What God gives us is freely given, so why do we feel the need to be rewarded or given something in return?
