The prophet Isaiah begins with the imperative “Arise!” which some may experience as a command, but rather than that it is an invitation, in this case for Israel to return to the land of the living. Now is the time to stand up in faith and move forward in this world, to turn to Jesus and bring our gifts to transform the world into something new! How will you step forward in faith this year? In what ways will your faith make you bold and confident? Will you stand against injustice, will you speak for peace, will you reconcile with another, or will you offer forgiveness and grace?
