Have you ever had someone ask you to do something, but you hesitate because you don’t think it is possible or worth it? Have you ever gone to a group of people with an idea and were met with a response that was clearly polite, but a dead end? What would happen if the disciples chose not to respond to Jesus’ instructions? What happens if we as a faith community chose to ignore God’s call, and didn’t commit to responding in a spirit of generosity? The psalmist reminds us that when we call out to God, God answers and increases our strength, and is steadfast in love. What will our response and commitment be for 2025?
