Voice of Albertans with Disabilities
Voice of Albertans with Disabilities is a consumer-directed organization that actively promotes full participation in society for Albertans with disabilities.
The Bissell Centre serves the less fortunate of Edmonton’s inner city with individual, community, and family programs designed to move people from poverty to prosperity.
The community-owned Boyle McCauley Health Centre responds to the unique needs of Edmonton’s inner city. Along with Capital Health and other stakeholders, they improve the health of individuals and the community by providing a range of primary health and health promotion services to those with limited access.
An online-based project exposing the injustices in Canada and those abroad that Canada is responsible for. We amplify individuals and organizations working to solve social inequalities. We are creating a movement that makes Canadians more aware of the issues in their nation and connects them with resources and tools to act. The international, non-profit, non-denominational Christian housing organization.
ICPM is an ecumenical Christian ministry of presence serving the people of the inner city of Edmonton. It was started in 1978 by members of the United Church who recognized a need for a church in the Inner City.
Operation Friendship Seniors’ Society
A non-profit society that provides community-based preventative social services to the seniors of Edmonton’s inner city, providing safe, affordable non-institutional housing options
An Alberta-wide, non-partisan research centre situated within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta. Parkland Institute studies economic, social, cultural, and political issues facing Albertans and Canadians.
A Canadian peace research institute with a focus on disarmament efforts and international security. The name and mandate for Project Ploughshares come from the ancient biblical vision in Isaiah in which the material and human wealth consumed by military preparations are transformed into resources for human development and in which such transformation removes the roots of war itself.
